The Rotary Club in partnership with Cleveland Clinic, the City of Weston and three local gyms are sponsoring a wonderful “Get Fit” event. For only $20 you can participate in unlimited training classes and even prepare for a 5K or half marathon for Bill Beck’s Dec. 12th Run.

Along with the run on the 12th, Weston Town Center will be hosting the Get Fit Festival with fitness and wellness vendors and free health screening by Cleveland Clinic.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to get out and share all the benefits of living in Weston…

Yappie Hour Events and Barkham Park

I found an interesting article at the Weston Gazette about an event at Hyatt Regency Bonaventure for Dogs and their owners. It takes place every Thursday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Hotel’s Cabanna .
Puppies get to enjoy appetizers created by Executive Chef Bob Axenfeld and ALL YOU CAN DRINK Water!

For a couple of years now Weston’s dog-owners can take their loved pets to Markham Park for networking purposes at the Barkham Park.

I don’t have Dogs and obviously I am not one; but I guess if I were to have or be a dog I would love to live in Weston as much as I do.

Fun and Affordable Night Out

Enjoy a newly released movie while having dinner and drinks. Is this the only one in South Florida?…I haven’t heard of any other. The “high back leather rocking chairs” are very comfortable, the theaters are small and very well designed. On-line reservations available!

It is located in the second floor of Dolphin Mall next to Strike the bowling alley. Complimentary Valet Parking with ticket purchase. Tickets are $ 12.50 weekdays, $ 14.50 on weekends and $10.00 for showings before 4:00 PM. I haven’t heard much about it but it is probably because we are in Broward but the drive from Weston is less than 30 minutes.

To be able to order food you need to arrive 30 minutes before the movie starts. Except for certain movies like Ice Age 3 that opens this July no one under 21 years old is allowed.

If you haven’t been at cinebistro don’t wait any longer!

For Children 10 and under; 3 age groups will be hunting for 17,000 candy filled eggs.

The Home Depot Spring Egg Hunt from 10 A.M to 11 A.M
For those “Multitask-er” parents that need to hunt for some Spring Deals while their kids play. Egg Hunt will take place at the Garden Department.
For Childern ages 2 to 12.

Sweet Creativity!

It is so nice to run across a nice and unique place… While driving by everytime I saw the sign I got curious but didn’t have a chance to stop until yesterday. Luckily it was lunch time and I decided to “explore” the new place on SW 136th Ave in Davie. Just steps a few steps actually but very close from IKEA, South of I-595.

It’s a place hard to describe, it is one of those you need to “experience”. It’s a Cafe where you can find some light goodies such as salads, wraps, sandwiches, pizzas and where you can create your own smoothie, chocolate and ice cream. You can also design your own box of chocolate! When I say design I mean it!!! You can craft and decorate your own box, perfect for that one-of a-kind gift.

A warm atmosphere where anytime you turn your head you find something you didn’t see before. That’s the kind of place I love…

Patti told me that tomorrow Saturday Feb. 21st at 7:00 PM there will be a saxophonist and that soon they should be able to offer light spirits.

Kuddos to Patti and Rick Cortez for creating such a great place so close to home.
