Weston,Fl 2010 Bulk Trash Pick Up Dates

Four times a year we have the opportunity to get rid of our Junk!
The first one from this year occurred last week.
Bulk Trash collection will take place the following Dates in 2010:
April: 21, 22, 23 for Single Family Homes and the 24th (Saturday) for Multi-Family Units
July: 21, 22, 23 for Single Family Homes and the 24th (Saturday) for Multi-Family Units
October: 20, 21, 22 for Single Family Homes and the 23rd (Saturday) for Multi-Family Units
Single Family Homes: Regular collection day Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Your trash should be at curbside by 7:00 AM
Multi-Family Units: Saturday. Your trash must be next to the dumpster by 7:00 AM.
NO HAZARDOUS WASTE MATERIALS WILL BE COLLECTED!
As per the City of Weston site:
“Bulk collection items are those items that are not disposed of in your regular commercial container.
Bulk items include, but are not limited to:
• Furniture
• Mattresses and carpets and other large household items
• Large and small appliances such as dishwashers, laundry machines, and stoves.
• Refrigerators or air conditioners must have Freon removed by a certified dealer.
NOTE: Mirrors, glass, glass tabletops, windowpanes, and plate glass items should be safely placed in a rigid container to facilitate safe collection. Larger glass items such as table tops, shower doors, windows should be placed separately from the rest of the bulk pickup.
Bulk items DO NOT include contractor-generated material, or vegetative waste (landscape materials) or household hazardous waste (HHW), see below for disposal of HHW. Vegetative/Landscape waste is collected with your regular garbage collection.
Where to place Bulk Items for collection?
Bulk items should be placed at or near the same location where your regular garbage is collected. Do not place bulk items near overhead obstructions, trees, mailboxes, or automobiles. Do not place bulk items inside commercial container enclosures, in front of commercial containers, behind gates, or in any manner that would limit the regular garbage service you receive.
